From the time he released his debut album in 2013, Brett Eldredge has connected with country audiences in a major way. It's partly on account of his knack for latching onto a propulsive groove and riding it to glory, like on the percolating good-time tune "Somethin' I'm Good At". But Eldredge also knows how to pen (and croon) intensely emotional story-songs like "Raymond", a story of elderly care that tugs at the old tear ducts.
