Adam Beyer Essentials

The fertile Swedish techno scene of the '90s served as Adam Beyer's proving ground, but it didn't take the Stockholm native long to move from terse, loop-heavy assaults to a sleeker, more sensual style of techno and tech-house. Though he recorded four albums between 1996 and 2002, he's been most prolific as a singles artist, whether solo or in collaboration with producers like Mathew Jonson or Ida Engberg (Beyer's wife). And with his Drumcode label, founded in '96, he continues to set the tone for the underground's boldest big-room sounds.
