In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The Darts were the brainchild of Nicole Laurenne and Christina Nunez, after their previous band, The Love Me Nots, dissolved. We asked ourselves, why not start the all-girl band we always wanted? Within six months, we had two EPs out on vinyl. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? L.A. WITCH, L.A. WITCH Night Beats, Rajan The Mystery Lights, The Mystery Lights The mix of fuzz guitars, washes of spring reverb, soulful vocals, and strong foothold in garage rock is a huge pull for us. It's a little old and a little new, a little hard and a little chill. Timeless angst. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bring It Back” This is the band's favorite ballad so far. And also none other than Jello Biafra, our record label owner and punk legend, does his own spoken word on the hidden track, a huge honor for us. (He also co-produced this record.) An ode to heartbreak. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Going on a US tour opening for The Damned. Waltzing & drinking port with Dave Vanian on stage. Doing a massive European tour for "Snake Oil" - almost 100 days. Playing on boats and in caves in France and Germany. Crowdsurfing on a beach in Spain. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Japan! Australia! Bigger fests in Europe! We can't wait to see more of the world and make more records. The writing never stops and tours keep getting better. We would love to tour with our heroes again.
