About The Beaches

Named after the area of Toronto they call home, brash garage pop outfit the Beaches are singer Jordan Miller, lead guitarist Kylie Miller, drummer Eliza Enman McDaniel, and keyboardist/guitarist Leandra Earl. The Miller sisters and McDaniel previously recorded for Disney as members of Done with Dolls. By the time they reached high school, they wanted a more mature sound and image; Earl joined the fold, completing their transformation into the Beaches. The band debuted in 2013 with "Loner," "Absolutely Nothing," and a self-titled, Raine Maida-produced EP. They returned the following year with the self-produced Heights EP. In 2016, the Beaches released "Give It Up," the first taste of their '70s-tinged Late Show. Produced by Metric's Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw, the album arrived in 2017. ~ Heather Phares
