Integrating influences ranging from Krautrock and punk to '60s psychedelia, Paperhaus make textured, exploratory indie rock. Childhood friends Alex Tebeleff, Jeff Galfond, and Eduardo Rivera formed the group in Washington, D.C. in 2006. While performing regularly on the East Coast, they released a series of EPs including Living Is Easy (2009), Paperhaus (2011), and Lo Hi Lo (2013) before presenting their full-length debut. Also titled Paperhaus, it arrived on the Huge Witch label in 2015. Paperhaus moved to Misra Records for the follow-up, 2017's Are These the Questions That We Need to Ask? It featured the lineup of Tebeleff and regional music scene regulars Matt Dowling and Rick Irby. ~ Marcy Donelson
