O'Death

About O'Death

The Brooklyn-based band O Death was formed in 2003 while its members were attending school at SUNY Purchase. Influenced by the early folk, blues, and country songs of the “old, weird America,” they filtered their Americana inspirations through a quirky indie-rock sensibility, coming up with a distinctive, idiosyncratic sound in the process. They self-released their first record, ONE, as well as their second, 2006’s HEAD HOME, before the latter was picked up by City Slang, who also issued BROKEN HYMNS, LIMBS, AND SKIN the following year.
