About Kyf Brewer

The songs of Kyf Brewer have reached their largest audience through their inclusion on such television shows as "Party Of Five", "Baywatch" and "Dawson's Creek". The host of VH1 show, "Before They Were Rock Stars", Brewer has used his musical experiences as a springboard for more visible work. Brewer's first success came as a member of Baltimore-based rock band, The Ravyns, in the 1980s. The group reached its apex when their single, "Raised On The Radio", was included in the film, "Fast Times In Ridgemont High". During the early-1990s, Brewer worked with a power roots rock band, Company Of Wolves, placing three singles"Call Of The Wild", "The Distance" and "Hangin' By A Thread"-in the AOR top twenty. Brewer launched his solo career in 1994 with the album, "Me And My Big Mouth". His second solo album, "Salvador Deli", followed in 1998. In addition to performing and recording with Billy Squire, Michael Bolton and Junior Wells. Brewer has played Scottish music with The Loch Rannoch Pipe Band, a group of American pipers and drummers led by Scottish drum major Sandy Sinclair and pipe major, Keith Swanson, who has instructed him on playing the bagpipes. ~ Craig Harris
