A talented singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose soulful folk-pop songs invoke names like Seinabo Sey, Tom Odell, London Grammar, and Gabrielle Aplin, Sophie Frances Cooke, known professionally as Frances, spent her formative years in Newbury, Berkshire before studying music at the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts. She issued her debut EP, Grow, via Communion Records in July 2015, followed later that October by a second EP, Let It Out. Two months later she was shortlisted for the 2016 Brit Awards and nominated for the BBC Sound of 2016.
