Melbourne's smooth electro/R&B duo Fortunes. feature vocalist Conor McCabe and producer Barnaby Matthews. Though they knew each other in their native New Zealand, they started making music together in Australia, combining their passions for pop, soul, hip-hop, and electronic music into tracks showcasing McCabe's gritty yet sweet voice and Matthews' glitchy production work. The duo's debut EP, Hoodie, arrived in early 2015 and won the group a following in New Zealand and Australia. They issued the Jacket EP a year later, and capped their 2016 by signing with Future Classic and releasing the 501's single. A remix of the track featuring Dai Burger appeared at the beginning of 2017, and was also included on that April's Undress EP. ~ Heather Phares
