About Etienne de Crécy

Parisian house music artist Etienne De Crecy began his career as an engineer, but soon began producing his own tracks. Under the name Motorbass, (with partner Phillippe Zdar) De Crecy developed a minimalist, retro, '70s disco-inspired style of club music that helped put the then newly emerging Parisian house scene on the map.

The Lyons-born musician also produced and re-mixed several early tracks by the band Air, helping them to secure a major label deal, and he has worked with another giant of French electronic music, Alex Gopher.
