A solo vehicle for guitarist/vocalist Steven Wray Lobdell, the Davis Redford Triad created some of the most unusual sounds to emanate from Portland, Oregon during the late-1990s. With Lobdell laying down sonic waves of distortion on electric guitar, the group radiated with the sounds of modern psychedelia. The group's debut album, Mystical Path Of The Number Eighty Six was released shortly after Lobdell's release from a mental institution in the spring of 1997. Their second album, Ewige Blumenkraft followed in 1998. Lobdell, who went on to become the leader of Sufi Mind Game, a frequent collaborator of the Baseball Astrologer and an occasional member of Faust, released a true solo album, Automatic Writing On The Moon in 1999. He has produced two albums for Portland-based band, Hochenkeit. ~ Craig Harris
