Damo Suzuki

About Damo Suzuki

Japanese singer Damo Suzuki is best known as the frontman for pioneering Krautrockers Can. In the early '70s, he contributed to some of the band's finest albums, but he temporarily retired from music after leaving Can in 1974. Suzuki began a solo career in the early '80s, further exploring the improvisatory style he began with Can. Over the years, he's worked with both contemporaries (former members of Can and Guru Guru) and young disciples (players from Broken Social Scene, Acid Mothers Temple, and many others).
