b. Alex Petridis, England. Alex P. has been DJing professionally since 1988, thrilling clubbers all over the world with his unpretentious form of hard house. Along with Brandon Block he is from the old school of UK house DJs ? hard working, hedonistic and completely absorbed by the music and atmosphere of the club scene. He made his name during the early days of acid house at events such as Sunrise, Back To The Future and Energy. He was also a part of the original Ibiza dance scene that took hold on the island in the early 90s, holding residencies at Amnesia, Ku and the Space Garden in 1990. He remains devoted to Ibiza, playing there every summer. Since those early days, he has played at every major house club in the UK: the Ministry Of Sound, Clockwork Orange, Up Yer Ronson, Gatecrasher, Passion, Colours and The Gallery. He has mixed many compilation albums and remixed many singles. His own releases include ‘Predator’ by Airtight and ‘Forever’ by Alex. He is known as Peezee on the weekly UK radio show he presents on Kiss 100 FM with Brandon Block, which regularly attracts a large audience. A populist, crowd pleasing DJ but nevertheless a hard-working and inventive one, Alex P. is assured a place in the hearts and minds of the international house audience.
