Attacca Quartet Essentials

Founded by Juilliard students in 2003, Attacca Quartet initially staked their reputation on a mainstream contemporary repertoire, tackling the complete string quartets of John Adams on 2013's Fellow Traveler. While venerated works by Haydn and Mahler soon attracted the group's attention, they hit a new high after unleashing their talents on less traditional fare, playing with the pop band San Fermin and bridging past and present on Caroline Shaw’s sumptuous album Orange. The intrepid quartet then dove headfirst into EDM with 2021's Real Life, which features work by Flying Lotus and Squarepusher.
