New Moon Jelly Roll Freedom Rockers

New Moon Jelly Roll Freedom Rockers were a makeshift blues supergroup. Their personnel included pianist, songwriter, and producer Jim Dickinson, his sons, drummer Cody and guitarist Luther Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars; harmonica legend Charlie Musselwhite; and guitarists Alvin Youngblood Hart and Jimbo Mathus. They released a pair of informal albums cut live from the floor at a marathon recording session at the Dickinson family's Zebra Ranch Studios in Coldwater, Mississippi during the fall of 2007. Those albums saw release in 2020 and 2021 as New Moon Jelly Roll Freedom Rockers, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.
