About Demis Roussos

Demis Roussos began as a front man for the Greek pop bands Idols and We Five, before finding widespread European success with progressive rock act, Aphrodite’s Child. The group's first single, 1968’s "Rain And Tears," became a million-seller. After Aphrodite’s Child classic final album, 666: THE APOCALYPSE OF JOHN (1972), Roussos set off on a solo career culminating with 1975's FOREVER AND EVER. Although subsequent releases sold only modestly, Roussos continued to be a popular and magnetic live performer well into the '00s.
