Christina Aguilera is trying to focus on the silver linings of this pandemic. “I think that 2020 in general has been about reassessing and figuring out what really matters here,” Aguilera tells Apple Music. “It was a busy last couple of years; I was on the road. So this has been really a great time of reflection.” Following an extensive touring cycle, which included Europe’s X Tour in 2019 and Las Vegas’ near-completed The Xperience concert residency, Aguilera has been spending time at home with her family, writing new music and giving her voice and body some much-needed downtime. Fresh off the release of her new version of “Reflection”, featured in Disney’s live-action reimagining of Mulan, Aguilera curates a selection of tracks that are keeping her inspired during lockdown on this exclusive At Home With Apple Music playlist. “I was trying to look at some of the roots of the music that I truly love and came up singing,” she says of the playlist, which includes tracks by Beyoncé, Björk, Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin. “There are poetic and amazing, epic moments here that have so much history.”
