Wide Open Space: Millennial Psychedelia

In the late '90s, neo-psych bands like Mercury Rev and The Flaming Lips began to explore a lighter, more expansive psychedelic pop, often full of orchestral elements. Elsewhere, both British and American bands began flirting with lysergic colours in their indie rock, including The Beta Band, Lambchop and The Verve.
