Like Detroit's storied rock 'n' roll legends before them, We Came as Romans are forging a modern Motor City racket with their unique brand of muscled-up, melodic metalcore. Since 2008's Dreams EP, the band has been perfecting a thrashy, dramatic sound that incites maximal screaming, headbanging and moshing. Their self-titled 2015 album marked an evolution towards a more alternative rock sound, throwing some poppy hooks into their usual mix of sludgy guitar, chest-pounding drums and throat-ripping vocals.
