Active from 1984 to 2007, vidnaObmana was a dark ambient project led by Dirk Serries, a Belgian artist whose earliest work leaned towards the industrial side of experimental electronic music. Initially employing raw synths on low fidelity recordings to develop unique drones and textures, Serries' subsequent works became more ethereal, developing a kind of a Goth-ambient sound. Serries continues to make music as Fear Falls Burning, in which guitars are brought to the foreground, albeit in a ghostly way that emphasizes the song ideas he's embraced for years.
