Celebrated producer Tetsuya Komuro has been involved in many projects that have left a deep impact on the J-pop landscape. Of these, TRF (Tetsuya Komuro Rave Factory) helped mold the shape of electro-pop in the '90s. A quintet featuring a lead singer, a rapper and three dancers, TRF delivered peppy, Europop-inspired tracks featuring all-together-now vocals and warm synthesizer notes. Although they made space for the occasional ballad, TRF excelled at uptempo numbers that could get a dance floor bopping up and down.
