Alongside his solo recordings, Tommy Emmanuel's virtuoso guitar playing has appeared on countless classic Australian albums by other artists, and he's also served stints as a featured touring guitarist for several iconic local acts including Dragon and John Farnham. Over the course of two dozen solo albums (including highlights like 1990's Dare to Be Different and 1993's The Journey) his playing is as diverse as it is brilliant. One moment he might bring to mind Carlos Santana, the next his childhood idol, Chet Atkins—with whom he collaborated on 1997's The Day Finger Pickers Took Over the World.
