Bringing classic punk energy to lo-fi indie rock, The Thermals blast their way through bracingly noisy songs that are both fiercely political and deeply personal. While the band never fully abandoned the raw attack of their early albums, the Portland outfit also grew increasingly ambitious after the release of their '06 breakthrough The Body, The Blood, The Machine.
