The Idea Of North Essentials

The Idea Of North Essentials

The Idea of North create radical acappella arrangements of pop classics and jazz standards. Since the early '00s, the quartet has regularly had the top-selling jazz recording in Australia's end-of-year charts. The group's roots date back to the early '90s when four students from Canberra's School of Music entertained themselves singing for fun. The lineup has changed several times over the years, while two of the group's albums, 2013's Smile and 2010's Feels Like Spring (a collaboration with legendary Aussie trumpeter James Morrison), won ARIA Awards.
