Though their islands may be thousands of miles apart, Jamaica's most famous musical export sounds quite natural emanating from ‘10s Hawaiian reggae band The Green. They capture the breezy sway of lovers rock on sweet songs like “Love I”, and infuse their mellow rocksteady lilt with some tingly synth buzzing on “Good One”. But the group finds plenty of time to bring some new elements to their feel-good stew as well, adding a rock edge to “Gotta Be” and proving that they know their way around an Isley Brothers-esque piano ballad on “Chocolate & Roses”.
