Kansas City's Tech N9ne specialises in a sound that's equal parts chaotic and cathartic. It's the rapper's ridiculously rapid-fire flow that grabs the attention at first, but then his willingness to expose his vulnerable side hits you in the heart. After founding his own Strange Music indie label, Tech began a super-prolific run of releases with 2001's Anghellic, and is now sitting on a body of work more than 10 albums deep. Many rappers claim to love the independent hustle, but no one has mastered it like Tech N9ne.
