A disciple of guitar virtuoso Chet Atkins, Steve Wariner is triply endowed as a world-class guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. The Indiana native kicked off his career as a member of Dottie West's band, landed a solo record deal via Atkins in the '70s and scored a stable of straight-up country singles throughout the '80s, and beyond. In addition to becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1996 and the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville in 2008, his songs have been covered by Garth Brooks, Keith Urban and Clint Black, among many others.
