On Close Your Eyes, she deftly reinterpreted everything from “The Way You Look Tonight” to “Big Yellow Taxi”, winning the Best Jazz Album trophy at the 2012 ARIAs. A move to New York resulted in We Could Be Lovers, where original tracks such as “That's It, I Quit!” revealed a new confidence to her work, combining serious jazz chops with a cheeky lyrical sensibility.
