R&S Records: Deep Cuts

Founded in 1984 by the Belgian DJ Renaat Vandepapeliere, R&S Records gave rave culture a boost with hard-hitting hits from Joey Beltram and CJ Bolland, while records from Aphex Twin and Sun Electric charted alternate paths into the future. Though largely inactive in the '00s, R&S revived in the '10s, signing adventurous new talents like James Blake, Teengirl Fantasy and Pariah.
