A great deal of Primus' catalogue falls between metal and funk, but not all of it. While “Over the Falls” turns on a swampy, Captain Beefheart-inspired blues groove, “Coattails of a Dead Man” is the kind of creepy stage number you'd expect to hear at the Grand Guignol. Their love for the theatrical pops up again on a deliciously contorted rendition of the Willy Wonka gem “Candy Man”.
