Otomo Yoshihide Essentials

Composer Otomo Yoshihide started his musical journey studying jazz guitar in the ‘80s. But soon he started diving into more experimental waters, using guitar, turntables and electronics to explore noise, contemporary classical, avant-rock and minimalist IDM that often sounds like it is fracturing in real time. Along the way, he has also lent his sharp ear for sound to score a number of film and TV projects. Yoshihide's efforts have earned him international acclaim and a willing stream of collaborators including John Zorn, Sachiko M, Christian Marclay and Jim O'Rourke.
