Orange Juice: Deep Cuts

While Orange Juice's Postcard catalogue isn't as polished as their funky later material, they bridged the two phases on “Blokes on 45”, a Stars on 45-style disco medley of their scrappy early singles. But the band's rhythmic bounce also took the form of country gallops (“Texas Fever”), while “Don't Shilly Shally” sees Edwyn Collins laying the groundwork for solo success with an open-road rocker.
