Miles Davis: The Later Years

By late '75, Miles Davis was exhausted from years of hard living, and he took a long hiatus from performing. Finally returning in '81, he continued recording until his death ten years later. This collection features Davis at his slickest, layering on the synthesisers and covering '80s pop songs. But these tracks are also as radical as his '70s fusion work, embracing funk, disco and even hip-hop.
