Midlake take the traditions of Americana and inject them with new life, creating rich tapestries of vibrant folk rock. While their 2004 debut Bamnan and Silvercork was a fairly lo-fi affair, they've since branched into lusher territory, crafting delicate, expansive records that explore ‘60s pop, ‘70s soft rock, and even prog.
