Marty Stuart Essentials

Marty Stuart Essentials

During his celebrated career Marty Stuart became one of the most eclectic country music stylists, moving between honky tonk, rockabilly, bluegrass and southern gospel. The Mississippi-born singer/songwriter/guitarist/mandolin player got his start at age 12 performing with bluegrass bands The Sullivans and Nashville Grass throughout the '70s, followed by time playing for Johnny Cash in the '80s. After dabbling with solo projects, 1989's Hillbilly Rock spawned a string of gold or platinum projects and established Stuart as a primary preservationist for country music's historical legacy.
