Manic Street Preachers: Influences

Manic Street Preachers: Influences

The Manics are a product of the ideological battleground of British indie in the ‘80s, but with a musical palate drawn from the romance of classic rock, particularly early punk and American metal. So while James Dean Bradfield's liquid guitar runs are pure Guns N' Roses, the band's prolix political lyrics and scornful attitude are inspired by hotheads like McCarthy and Gang of Four.
