There’s nothing Brisbane artist Mallrat loves more than a cooling bubble tea on a hot summer’s day. In fact, she’s such a fan, she’s made a playlist specifically in honour of her favourite beverage. “My order is a honeydew milk tea on soy milk with half sugar and less ice,” she told Apple Music in late 2020. “These songs have nothing in common except that today they gave me that summer butterfly feeling in my chest, like I’m about to dive into a pool.” Whatever your flavour of choice is, make sure to enjoy it with this playlist. I remember her showing me this demo last summer over bubble tea in a very nicely air-conditioned studio. She was nervous and shaking a little bit because this was her first time sharing a song with her voice on it—she’s predominantly a producer. I’m blown away at how perfect her pop writing is, she’s a force to be reckoned with. This is one of my favourite songs of the year.” SONIKKU, “Sweat (feat.
