With their innovative arrangements, poetic lyrics and revolving door of powerful lead vocalists such as Wilmer Lozano, Nestor Rivera and Oscar Arriaga, Los Adolescentes have been a phenomenon ever since their debut album Reclamando Nuestro Espacio was released in 1994. Their debut single "Anhelo" was a huge hit across Latin America as well as in the U.S. Founder Porfi Baloa served as chief songwriter, arranger, pianist and bass player until his departure over a dispute with their label, Korta Records, in early 2010, although the band's success continued.
