A former nurse, life changed for Taiwanese singer-songwriter Lala Hsu when her sweet but powerful voice blew judges away on One Million Star in 2008. Her best-selling debut album Lala featured 11 self-composed tracks, including the powerful pop ballad that shot Lala to Mandopop superstardom, "Riding A White Horse". In 2010, she was named Best New Artist at the prestigious 2010 Golden Melody Awards. Four albums later, the undeniably talented Lala Hsu continues to write her own songs and remains the down-to-earth girl Taiwan fell in love with all those years ago.
