Debuting in 1995 with We Fear Change, Sydney's Knievel added their chiming, dreamy guitars to the era's mellow indie pop. Theirs is a particularly hazy sound, where you can hear touches of shoegaze in the lushness of the aptly titled “The Time I Found My Feet”. “Can't Find It On the Map” enters similarly dense territory, punctuated with guitar lines both delicate and fuzzy that recall peers Yo La Tengo. A dip into their earliest work reveals moodier moments like “Drive Away”, a brooding track that conjures the hypnotising effect of shadowy highways.
