The turn of the new millennium saw JAY Z getting prolific. Claiming an involvement in nine album projects before the decade was out, the Marcy man bounced from spitting over chipmunk soul productions to revisiting his hardcore roots with the producer Rick Rubin. Smart use of R&B singers like Rihanna and Alicia Keys also ensured a stream of crossover anthems.
