One of the co-founders of techno label Kompakt, producer Jürgen Paape is also the man behind some of the German imprint's most essential releases. Paape launched his career in the late '90s with a string of crisp tech-house singles but after that his signature became harder to pin down. Over the years Paape has released bubbling techno workouts, bouncy house tunes driven by instantly memorable vocal hooks, smoothly gliding ambient grooves and quirky disco cuts.
