Imad Royal: The Producers

Imad Royal: The Producers

On top of being an alt-R&B phenom in his own right, Quebec City native Imad Royal has left his feisty fingerprints all over the contemporary Top 40 landscape as a producer. He was an architect of The Chainsmokers’ EDM-lite sound, and he’s helped transform Panic! at the Disco’s Brendon Urie from emo pin-up to modern-pop jukebox. Royal has also brought his maximalist touch to the world of hip-hop, dressing up Doja Cat’s sassy “Boss B*tch” in electro synths and clanging cowbells.
