I Wayne Essentials

I Wayne's signature tune "Can't Satisfy Her" was hypnotic enough to become an international hit, but the Jamaican singjay pulls no lyrical punches: the song decrees that Babylon must be purified by way of fire. Raised by notable reggae keyboardist Ansell Collins, I Wayne became known for a powerful falsetto that underlined the Rastafarian doctrine in his lyrics. After breaking out with his second album, 2007's Book of Life, I Wayne found himself more comfortable touching on a variety of issues, including domestic violence and geopolitics.
