Herman's Hermits Essentials

Herman's Hermits (no, there's nobody named Herman in the band) arrived in the heyday of the ‘60s British Invasion, offering up a fresh-faced variation of The Fab Four's Merseybeat magic. But while they became stars on the strength of a string of endearing novelty numbers and pop tunes as ingenious as they were infectious, the golden-voiced Peter Noone and his Manchester mob were true blue rock ‘n' rollers too. They had no trouble covering The Kinks and turning out tunes that amped up both the guitars and the arch attitude.
