Gepe: Influences

Gepe is known as “the new guru” for his synthesis of ’60s Chilean folk with indie electro-pop bleeps and beats, but the man himself looks to artists and genres further afield for inspiration. One can hear Drake's swagger, the drifting charms of Cocteau Twins and even the far-out attitude of Primus as much as Margot Loyola’s carefully curated traditions and Victor Jara’s rousing activist songs.
