Family Tree: Dinosaur Jr

Dinosaur Jr. are built around the free-form guitar heroics and rough-but-right voice of J Mascis. But bassist Lou Barlow—who cut his teeth with Mascis in teen hardcore combo Deep Wound—is an indie legend unto himself, the mastermind behind Sentridoh, Sebadoh and the Folk Implosion. Drummer Murph even did a stint in The Lemonheads, while Mascis played solo and guested regularly.
