When the alternative and electronic worlds collided in the '90s, some strange and wonderful sounds emerged from the wreckage. Deerhoof, A Minor Forest and Unwound brought dub effects and noise aesthetics to the rock world. The Third Eye Foundation laced shoegaze with jungle, and Oval and Autechre fried indie kids' minds with the possibilities of software.
