Eagles of Death Metal Essentials

Eagles of Death Metal Essentials

They don't sound like country rockers The Eagles or play death metal, but guitarist Josh Homme's original plan was to find the midpoint between these two extremes. For this offbeat California rock project, Homme joined forces with singer and high school friend Jesse Hughes. The result is a healthy dose of humour with classic blues and a dash of punk attitude, first shown on their 2004 debut Peace, Love, Death Metal. Although Homme rarely performs live with the band, due to his commitments with Queens of the Stone Age, Hughes has built up a formidable reputation for his boisterous antics.
