Starting out life as buskers on the streets of Wellington in 2013, Kiwi quartet Drax Project have been racking up the hits in their homeland for years with their mix of pop, R&B and easy-listening jazz, all underpinned with catchy melodies and summery vibes. Outside of New Zealand, they’re best-known for their track “Woke Up Late”, which features vocals from Hailee Steinfeld, but there are plenty of equally stellar tracks to get your teeth into, from the hauntingly touching “Go” (from early EP T/W/OO) to the calypso-inspired “Toto”.
